Become trained in helping students hone their math, reading, and writing skills, as well as teach them important study skills as organization, time management, and note-taking.
Participate in a comprehensive orientation and day long training that covers basic teaching strategies; strategies for reinforcing study, planning, and organizational skills; and classroom management.
Participants will also learn how to develop a PARENT ACADEMY to assist the school or district in creating and maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment, as well as help normalize family dynamics in troubled times.
As a trained ACADEMIC COACH, you can become an independent consultant who has been prepared to work on a contract basis with a high priority school. Schools and Districts can use a variety of funds (Title I - regular and School Improvement, general fund) for this purpose in order to meet requirements outlined in the NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND Act of 2001. NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND requires Schools Identified for Improvement and schools Continuing to be Identified for Improvement to use at least 10 percent of their Title I funds for professional development to support a revised school improvement plan. NCLB requires districts to take at least one corrective/restructuring action in that school and one possible action is to assign an independent consultant or outside expert to advise the school on certain issues.
An ACADEMIC COACH qualifies as an outside expert to support school improvement efforts, although funding amounts may vary.
One-Full Day of training for $1750.00!
